Putin and his story about "The Russians are not surrendering," which is incomprehensible to "The West". This story has a simple explanation: Russian residents of Ukraine prefer to die as citizens of Ukraine than to live as citizens of Russia. Putin himself admitted that he began the occupation of an independent country in which many different peoples live, but none of them wants and never wanted to be part of Russia. They want to be Ukraine.
