It's funny. You watch a VERY vituperative review of a video game, and you realize that everything that received negativity from the author is the perfect time killer and cake for you.

"Monster Hunter Wilds" has a very strange design: the monsters are so sweet that you want to kill the heroes so that they don't touch the cute animals. Of course, the teasers say very little about the plot and the game, but the "play as monsters" option is already needed.

I discovered another video game about Japan. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
It looks exciting and beautiful. It's already the third on the list. Where can I find time if I don't want to miss this candy too?

Assassin's Creed Shadows
I feel like I've been robbed of a great, exciting story. A black or white foreigner could rise to the top in medieval Japan, it was IRL. But Japan wasn't Venice or England, it was a closed world, and any foreigner there was an unusual event. I want to see how hero integrated, what was easier and what was more difficult for him. Otherwise, it’s not clear why a foreigner would be brought into a story about medieval Japan.

"Rise of the Ronin" and "Ghost of Tsushima"
Both of these video games are as tempting as cake and as beautiful as a sunrise. I don't know which to choose!

I was thinking about trying the game Assassin's Creed Shadows and decided:
- Rewatch the Shogun series—a charming opening of Japanese culture through the eyes of a foreigner and the exciting complexity of his adaptation.
- Rewatch a movies with Will Smith and Eddie Murphy.

It's amazing, but the cinematic graphics of Gothic 1 Remake killed all the magic in the game. The original was art, had style and individuality; you felt you were interacting with the artist. And the remake is just another faceless movie.

"Avowed," new impressions.
So far it's a children's fairy tale, but for some reason it's not boring, and I don't want to drop it. There's some kind of charm here. I don't regret the money I've spent.

"Avowed", first impression: 7/10 - most of the characters are ugly, the hero design is terrible, landscapes are beautiful, the controls are convenient, entry is easy and casual is great (I like it!), a lot of research (Yes!), the ending (I read the spoiler) is tasty and rare.

"Avowed" is a rare case among video games: a good playthrough brings a cool reward in the end—your hero will be the king (queen) of a new country. This isn't a spoiler but a reason to buy the game: I want to choose what to strive for in the game, and I always read about endings.

I want a video game where the hero (companions too) flies a lot—he or she or they have wings or a glider, magic, etc. And there should definitely be exploration of the world. But I hate gacha and online gaming! Why are there no offline games with open worlds and flying?

"Ravenbound" is a charming advertisement and a monstrous disappointment as gaming. To be fair, the hero's transformation into a raven and the flights are gorgeous, but everything else, i.e. 90% of the game, is dreary, ugly drawn, and extremely inconvenient to control.

Помітила цікаву річ: коли читаю або граю фентезі, то перекладаю у себе в голові українською, тому що звучить казковіше, більш чаклунства відчувається. Звернула на це увагу, тільки коли полізла до словника шукати слово солов'їною.

I want an RPG video game with a "From trash down to sparkly crown" plot.
*Oh, all RPGs are like that!* (Gaming community)
What? Really?
Almost always, the hero gets a zilchburger for saving the world, and the NPCs enjoy the chocolate that the hero brought them. Even if a game has an option where a hero gets a reward worthy of his efforts, and a gamer chooses it, a game calls the hero evil, NPCs hate him, a game world plunges into darkness, etc. In other words, a game almost always has a world that does not deserve to be saved.

It's strange: I don't want to finish BG3 because then the game will end, and even if my Tav is Absolute, I'll still have to leave this world. It's a shame there's no sandbox after the story.
I started a new game as Durge, but it's still not enough.
DLC Sandbox is needed!

It's funny to hear about wokism in video games. Games must make a lot of money for several years. In the 2-3 months after a game is released, a vocal minority buys it. And then the silent majority pays a lot more. And they have other tastes. The game should satisfy exactly them.

"Dragon Age: The Veilguard" is a very good game if you are 7 years old or want to go back to childhood for a while, to Disney cartoons and the simplicity of life. Villains in the style of the Stepmother-Queen, romances on the level of Belle, adventures and battles like Peter Pan... Why not?! And even LGBTQ+ in exactly the amount that kids are seen in kindergarten—two dads or moms of their friends.

To understand whether video games need same-sex romance, gender-swapping, alternate genders, different skin colours, and so on, look at the popularity of mods that provide these things and the sales of the game after the mods are released. Game developers look at reality.

Sure, an action-adventure game doesn't need a plot at all, but how boring and uninteresting it is not to have a choice of endings! The only RPGs that are worse are those where, after a complex plot, the hero gets zilch for saving the world, and everyone around him has chocolate.

Skyrim (2011)
It seems that since then there has never been a game that can fully satisfy a gamer.
BG3 has beautiful visuals, combat strategy, gay romances, lots of stories, quests, jokes, clothes, puzzles—I love it all, but I desperately lack a house that can be furnished.
