All films/books about the struggle of the devil or some other Great Evil with the Good God or his Chosen One have the same detail: the devil offers people many useful things — healing from illnesses, saving the lives of loved ones, financial assistance, etc. It is that hospitals, social services, rescuers and police do. But the next Good God once again does not offer anything, but demands to humbly endure one's own sufferings and just as humbly contemplate the torments of loved ones.

Was "Highlander" filmed by technophobes? Computers are the devil's tools, the internet is evil, video game makers are monsters, gamers are idiots... It's strange how authors, the unfortunate ones, could endure the presence of television.
But their badguys are wonderful.
